200: Kingpin (1996) - Celebrating 200 Episodes!!!
200 EPISODES!! It's been a long time coming, but we finally made it! 200 episodes of the Dissect That Film Podcast! What a better way to celebrate a massive milestone than by jumping into a genre we don't play around in too often, comedy. More specifically, sports comedy. This week, we look at the Farrelly Brothers film that came after there massive hit Dumb and Dumber, 1996's KINGPIN. With the comedy chops of Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid, it shows the unorthodox partnership of a washed up, one handed former pro bowler and a Amish prodigy. What else needs to be said? Well I guess we should ask, is it underrated? Why did it fail at the box office? Why don't these movies exist anymore? Lets try to answer those and more as we celebrate this massive achievement. Cheers to 200! Thank you!

That's exactly what THE ALLIGATOR PEOPLE is. A story of heartache, trying to find out the truth, and animal/human mutation. With a cast that includes legendary creature actor Lon Chaney, Jr , and more heart than it advertises, does this film match up to its more successful cousin THE FLY? Lets find out, this week on The Monster Zone.

199: Duel (1971) - The Best TV Movie Ever Made? feat. Darin Lundberg
Friday Apr 18, 2025
Friday Apr 18, 2025
Legendary filmmakers always have a beginning. The place that made people realize that maybe "this person's got it." 1971's DUEL was that for Steven Spielberg. Based on the short story by award winning author Richard Matheson, DUEL showcases fast paced filmmaking and skills most 24 year directors just don't present on screen. It's what we would eventually see in the blockbusters Spielberg would release going forward. It's simple, man vs. truck. The ultimate road rage film, that never hit the big screen. Darin Lundberg of NostalgiaCast/Back To Bluey joins to us break down what some would say to be the greatest TV movie ever made. Is it true? Lets find out out, this week on the Dissect That Film Podcast Episode 199.
