APE (1976) - The Monster Zone

In 1976, 2 giant gorilla movies hit the big screens. One being the giant ape we know and love KING KONG, and the other being one from a U.S./South Korean production called APE or A.P.E. or Big Horn...nevermind. With one having a high production value and some solid leading actors, this one was not that at all. But, the question is, was this a solid rip-off? Or does it belong in the "forget this ever happened" trash can? It's time to find out with our newest co-host Mikey. We head back to the sewer this week with the  @MovieDumpster  dudes, as we look at the sequel to a classic creature feature, 1991's ALLIGATOR 2: THE MUTATION. 11 years after a massive alligator wrecked havoc in Chicago, another sewer Gator decides it's time to do it again, this time in sunny LA, or a city like LA. With an interesting cast of characters, wild effects and a plot that doesn't change much to the original, is ALLIGATOR 2 your typical low budget horror sequel, or does it belong with some of the best creature features around?
