THE MONSTER ZONE - Beginning of the End (1957)

Burt I. Gordon was a savant when it came to giant animal attack movies, bringing live animals on a massive scale to the screen in ways not seen in Hollywood. In 1957 he directed the GIANT locust movie BEGINNING OF THE END with legendary actor Peter Graves, bringing forth what he could do in this genre. We look back at this now almost 70 year old movie wondering if it still brings the magic, or if its's a forgettable classic, if that makes any sense. Watch out for the bugs on this episode of THE MONSTER ZONE.

THE MONSTER ZONE - APE (1976)

In 1976, 2 giant gorilla movies hit the big screens. One being the giant ape we know and love KING KONG, and the other being one from a U.S./South Korean production called APE or A.P.E. or Big Horn...nevermind. With one having a high production value and some solid leading actors, this one was not that at all. But, the question is, was this a solid rip-off? Or does it belong in the "forget this ever happened" trash can? It's time to find out with our newest co-host Mikey. With an interesting cast of characters, wild effects and a plot that doesn't change much to the original, is ALLIGATOR 2 your typical low budget horror sequel, or does it belong with some of the best creature features around?
